Evo-One not Programming step 4 on 2010 Tacoma

0 votes
Hey all,  I am trying to install a Evo-One with T-harness into my 2010 Tacoma with G-key no alarm.  Ive verified all connections and am still have an issue getting the module to detect the key to program the key bypass.

I can get steps 1-4 to work, but as soon as I do step 5 (turning the key to the run position) the module LEDs go out, neither the red and blue lights flash 10x nor does the blue LED flash rapidly (step 6)

the unit has been updated wiht my flashlink to the latest version.

Im stuck, puzzled and now wondering if thers something wrong with the Evo box itself...

Thanks!

You have the Factory keyless entry on a separate remote or on the truck key itself ?

it uses a separate fob for the keyless entry, Black key with the dot signifying theres a chip,  red key light flashes in the the HVAC control area..
You haven't follow the right guide for your 2010, there is two type of installation for the 2010 model, the G-Key Tacoma is the one that have factory keyless on the key itself, which you don't have.

You will need to follow the guide 82061, or take the plan for a 2009 Tacoma. Pay attention since connection and wire used are not the same as the guide that you have used previously, programmation isn't the same either. This why you can't program your Evo-One correctly.
Okay thanks!  I havent had time to look into this more but when I do ll modify my install and report back
