Evo-Ride Not Programming In 2003 Nissan Altima

Evo-Ride hardware v3 firmware 2.03, hardwired into 2003 Altima with 8 pin immobilizer connector, will not program.  Remote starter works fine with key in ignition.  All programming steps and LED blinks are good until key is turned on.  Red LED goes solid red every time.  All immobilizer wiring checked, metered, and confirmed correct in factory service manual.  While troubleshooting, I found that pressing the programming button 5x (instead of 4x) then turning the key on, the red LED will blink 10x like it was programmed correctly.  But the car will not remote start and the red LED stays on solid even after remote starter shuts down.  Repeated programming process, same results.  Tried another new Evo-Ride, exact same problem.

Can the Evo-Ride be reset or firmware upgraded if needed?

Any help will be appreciated.  Thanks!

By pressing the programming button 5 times you put the EVO RIDE in Mazda mode (program D). How long do you wait for the red led to flash after you turn ignition on? It may take 30 seconds to one minuit for it to flash red 10 times. If you have a Flash Link updater 2 you can try different versions on the EVO RIDE (ex: v.2.01-2.02 or 2.04) There is no reset procedure for EVO RIDE, you can just reprogram for new use. You can also try Keyoverrideall, the plugs are the same, it will just plug right in and try to program. No special version required on the Keyoverrideall.

The red LED comes on as soon as the key is turned on.  I have waited for more than one minute just to see and nothing changes.

My hardware v3 Evo-RIdes come pre loaded with version 2.03, which is the latest and recommended firmware available on my last check with Flashlink2.

Strange that it seems to accept programming for the Mazda mode, but doesn't allow remote start.

(Just noticed there is a firmware version 0.16 that says "fix old nissan mode" that is beta and newest 0.17.  Could it help my issue?  I'll try it in a couple of days when I see the car).
