0 votes
Have a 2011 Manual transmission Hyundai Sonata. In the morning, customer states that when remote start is activated, it will attemp to start three times, but it will only crank, and not run.

Double checked all wiring.Checked output from remote start, IGN and Start have power while cranking, ACC and ACC2 have power while ON but not cranking.

Starter is crimestopper rs4-g5. No bypass module (US model-no transponder key)

Did you bypass the clutch pedal? Also check tach signal.

Yes clutch is bypassed, wouldn’t crank without that. I got bad info from customer. It does in fact start and run, but it immediately shuts down. I’m thinking tach signal. I think I went to one of the coils in this car as the injectors were inaccessible but I’ll check it in a few hours.
Being a manual trans it requires a valid tach signal for remote takeover. Also tested multiple times after installation and it was fine. Just after cold soak it has issues running.
Sounds like a tach issue
