PROGRAMMING 2013 F250 STANDALONE

0 votes
Installing a THAR-FOR1 Tharness; Evoall Stand alone installation.

When programming, I go from 1-7 with no issue. When I get to step 8, I do not get the LED's to flash. In turn, The Key will not start the truck manually unless i diconnect the D2D connector.

I have the MADE THE T-HARNESS CONNECTIONS:

                A1/RS6 YELLOW/BLACK----------->YELLOW (IGNITION +)

                A20  LT. BLUE--------------------------> LT. BLUE

                A10 LT. BLU/BLACK------------------> LT.BLUE/BLACK

CAN HIGH ---> GRAY C3

CAN LOW ---> GRAY/BLACK C4

I followed the troubleshooting guide, with no resolve. Any other suggestions?

When you cycle through the keys after turning key 1 on for the second time do the door locks cycle?

Also service nubmer to the module please?

No, the locks do not cycle. I will get you the service number ASAP. Probably won't be until this sunday though.
If the locks do not cycle then the timming is being done wrong...As long as the module is flashed with ford firmware try re doing the programming but leave the RED connector unplugged. Key1 then key2 back to Key1 is a ford factory sequence for progamming keys...the locks need to cycle to indicate spare key learning is enabled in the vehicle SJB. Are both keys labeled Ford?
Yes, both keys are Factory FORD from the dealership when the truck was bought brand new. As far as the timing sequence goes,. turned 1st key to run, 3 secs then off. 2nd key to run, 3 secs then off. turned 1st key to run again with no door lock cycle and no led's blinking. I tried different timing cycles. counting to 3, waiting for the security lights to go off, and door chimes. Would the parking lights relay effect this at all?
It should not if connected probperly.

Completely disconnect the evo and try the key 1 key 2 key 1 sequence and simply tell me if your door locks cycle.
They do not cycle.

With everything disconnected and following the 3 second pause with key 1 then 2 then back to 1 it may be that your vehicle was locked by the dealer against spare key programming. Or one of the keys you are using is a clone of the first key.
Everything disconnected? I thought it was hold the program button, connect d2d, wait until red/blue lights on cycle then let go. hook up the rest of the connections, then proceed to key 1, then key 2, then back to key 1, with 3 second pause between the 3. what needs disconnected?

Am I supposed to be starting with a key in the igntion?

Would the dealer be able to tell me if the keys are clones or if the bcm is locked?

thanks for the help!
Yes the test i asked you to do i specified everything from the evo disconnected. The sequence you are doing is a ford sequence used to program keys. If the door locks do not cycle then one of the two prviously mentioned issues is present. This is being said assuming you are doing the 3 second timing with each key.

Yes a dealer can tell you these things but there will more than likely be a charge.

I misread that. My apologies. They locks do cycle with everything disconnected.

Try going through the programming from the start but do not connect the red connector to the evo.

Also do you have access to the flash link updater2?
Does not seem to program with leaving the red disconnector off.

I will order a flash link updater 2 and reload the firmware. The vendor I bought this from said he loaded it for me for the make and model of vehicle.

Is there anything i should look at ?
only other thing i could see is a poor/weak connection.

If butt connectors or t-taps were used anywhere remove them and make a proper poke and twist connection.

Please test with a digital voltmeter if voltage is present on the yellow wire (Pin A1) on the 20 pin connector WHEN the oem key is INSERTED (just inserted, not turned to IGN) and DOES NOT drop out when turning the key to the ON/RUN position, if it does, this is the issue you are having, it is not uncommon even on new trucks to have an intermittent key sense wire, for normal starting it does not matter, but to be able to program our unit, the yellow wire needs to see voltage the second the oem key is inserted and turned to IGN.

(red connector does not need to be connected for programming)

Thank you,
