EVO-ALL won't program properly 2013 Ford F150

0 votes
First of all I was on hold for 25 minutes and then at 5 o'clock I got kicked directly to voicemail.  What kind of CRAP is that???  I can't tell you how pissed off I am right now.

I updated to the most recent firmware and went through the programming for the EVO-ALL but ran into some issues.  All goes well until you have to unplug the data plug and reset the LED to RED&BLUE then insert key 1 and turn to on for 3 seconds, then key 2 for 3 seconds.  Then I SHOULD be able to put key 1 back in the ignition, turn it to on press and release the program button and the red then blue LED should flash 10x each.  This part NEVER works.

Someone have any help for this??

The transponder programming in the Evo-All programming guide #3318 for your truck is Sequence #5.  Step #14 does not state to "push the program button" after inserting key #1 and turning on.  Just to wait.

Did you try to do it again without pushing the program button at step #14?

Also make sure the keys are not on the same keyring when programming.

Firmware updated?

Might want to re-read the manual (or just send people who have been on hold for 25 minutes to voicemail just because the clock shows 5:00 and it's "quitting time")  And then after one of your dealers (ME) leaves a voicemail message asking someone to call them back ASAP not ever call them back again.

Step 14: shows the key in ignition and in the on position.  The instructions beside it says "Press and release the EVO programming button:

- The RED LED will flash rapidly 10x times

Key bypass programmed.

The BLUE LED will flash rapidly

CAN-Bus programmed.

I resolved the issue by installing an idatalink module instead because their instructions actually worked.

Step 14: shows the key in ignition and in the on position.  The instructions beside it says "Press and release the EVO programming button:

Press and Release was an error in the programming section of the T-Harness guides. It's been changed.

Exactly this.

No, I followed the instructions.  Still doesn't justify just transferring dealers to voicemail @ 5:00 when they've been on hold for 25 minutes.  Nor does it justify not calling the dealer back on the next business day.

I am glad that the manual was corrected.

Feel free to contact Alex directly. I already sent him this earlier today after reading your first post.
