I purchsed this product not knowing I would need an authorized dealer to make it work. Am I out the 250.00$ or can I mail it somewhere to get it programed?

You do not need an authorized dealer to make it work.

However you do need a flash link updater to flash and configure the module, flash link updater can be purchased online through multple online retailers.

You could also try contacting local garages in your area that install remote starters to inqiure if they would be willing to flash your unit for you.
