Wiring question, 2006 Lexus GS300

0 votes
Hello,

I've been doing some research on the remote start kit. I have the Evo-one kit. Is it really 7 wires that I have to splice into? I'm looking at the harness, and I see one for ignition, starter, door locks, etc.

Also, it said something about programming in Diesel mode but at the beginning of the instruction, it said to program function 20 mode 4.

Hi.

As per the install diagram, Yes it is a 7 wires install, but those will only cover remote starting the vehicle, detecting the brake and lighting up the parking lights.

For Lock / Unlock / Trunk / Horn / Door detection...Etc. You have to add additional connections to the car. You can take a look at wirecolor.com for more info on wires.

Enable 18.3 and 20.4 in the remote starter side on the EVO-ONE Using a Flash-Link-Updater 2 or by using the Remotes programmed on the EVO-ONE (Wich is mandatory to start the vehicle because we can't monitor the OEM remote beacause the way they maded the vehicle).

As always, that product needed to be install by a certified remote-starter installer... Lots of concept and knowledge are required just as some professional tools to test every wires before connecting them to prevent any damage on the car. smiley
