Access to 2012 Grand Caravan Ignition Barrel

Question

Can you provide some direction on how to access the Ignition barrel of a 2012 Dodge Grand Caravan SXT?  I lossened (not removed) the lower dash panel below the steering wheel thinking that I would have the access needed.  I was not able to access the barrel and did not want to start prying off the small trim panel that is around the barrel where the the key is inserted without first asking for help.  Thanks.

I have a 2013 Grand Caravan and just installed an EVO ALL with the T-harness.  I removed the same  lower panel below the steering column completely and was able to get my head under there and see the connector going into the iginition barrel.  On the 2013 , the connector is at the bottom of the barrel and I was able to disconnect it ( although it is a very tight space) without removing any further panels.  Once removed, the T-harness was easy to connect in.  I tried ;eaving the lower panel just loosened and hanging ( There was a skirt arounf the steering column) but i was unabe to see the connector clearly.  I dont know if the 2012 is the same but I had a 2010 and the trim was almost identical.  Hope this helps.  Good Luck.
