Truck will not start.

0 votes
I am using this as a stand a lone remote starting unit. I have progrmmed my evo all qith t harness chrt5 with the flah link updater. When all connections are made, and key is programmed,  I push the lock button on my OEM Remote 3x and the led on evo all cycle through the blue yellow red and the truck locks and unlocks. However, when it tries to start, the blue led light turns off and makes a clicking noise. Does the black/yellow wire need grounded at all times? In another Question someone states no, so i did not ground that wire. Should I ground that wire and try again? Also, does the instructions per set F states to cut the yellow/red wire connected to the red 6 pin connector. Is that also necessary?

You need to enable options A1 to A11 .

No the yellow/black wire does not have to be grounded.

Thank you! I'll give that a try!
Hi,

i turned on all a1-a11 and retried the install.. truck will still not start. Does the yellow/ red wire need cut coming from the red 6 pin connector?
Yes you need to cut the yellow/red and connect it exactly has shown in F section of the install guide.
Anyway to connect that yellow/red wire to the wire corresponding to the starter wire instead of having to cut the wire that is on the truck?
