2011 Didge Nitro won't remote start after install.

0 votes
I have a 2011 Didge Nitro and installed an evo-all and thar-char5. Installed everything except the parking light and external input and went thru the program procedure. Followed every step and and blue led turned off after hitting the lock button(means programmed right?). Tried hitting the lock button 3x but the car didn't try to start. What do I do?

You have to use the firmware updater hooked to the evo all to check box 15 in the options menu unless you purchased the EVO All preprogrammed with option 15 checked (THAR CHRY5 manual on page 8). Option 15 checked gives the EVO All remote start capability without a stand alone remote starter. The range will be as good as the original key fob remote. However do not hook the brown white wire on pin A14 on the EVO All 20 pin connector to the the parking light wire as shown in the instruction manual. There is a mistake in the THAR CHRY5 manual on page 8 showing to do this. I did this and fried the evo all that was preprogrammed with opt 15 checked when I turned on the headlights manually. I bought another evo all that was not checked. It was cheaper to get a stand alone starter than buy the firmware updater.
