2015 Toyota Tundra - Ax-One program settings

0 votes
Hi there, I just got my ax-one all in one kit and the t harness for my Toyota Tundra 2015. I havnt had it installed yet as I am in the process of flashing it and getting all the settings correct based on all the questions I've found on this board. I just wanted to confirm enabling option 2.4 as you recommended here for someone else? Also is it recommended that I turn off the hood switch ? Also, is it possible to have the factory fob and rf kit installed at the same time ? The instructions recommend bypass firmware 79.20 but all I saw was 79.24 so I used that. Please confirm all settings that I should have before installing. Much appreciated.

option B2 in the Bypass side does NOT need to be enabled.

I don't believe you are flashing the remote starter properly, you need to be in connection mode: remote starter, we cannot see the options in the remote starter online.

You NEED to enable function 2 to mode 4

The firmware you used is fine at 79.24.

You will need to read the proper installation and programming guide for the rf kit that you purchased over here http://fortin.ca/fr/technology/rf_kits.html

The RF kit needs to be enabled in the remote starter side, NOT the bypass side

The factory key fob will remain functional even with the RF kit installed

What Jesus said.

As for the hood pin option, if your vehcile does not have a factory hood pin, you will need to turn off the option in the evo-one bypass options since it would register as a hood open state.
RF Kit for Evo One
So I can confirm that the remote start works with the factory fob as well as the rf kit that came with the ax-one kit for the 2015 tundra however the installer could not get the shock sensor that came with the ax kit to do anything. The shock sensor was reading because as we'd tap on it when the alarm is engaged the little red light would blink but it would not give any warning sounds or activate the alarm. Are there any additional steps to get the shock sensor to work with the Evo One ? any specific settings I was supposed to turn on in flashlink updater ? I did notice that the ax-one was supposed to come with a siren but it did not so its working off of the horn for the alarm.
You need to enable the alarm, option 14 mode 2
thank you, I will try this tomorrow, once the unit is installed in a vehicle do I need to do anything special when removing it from a car in order update the settings with flashlink ? like uplugging car battery or anything like this ? also could I just plug in the flashlink while it is connected to my vehicle or is that not recommended ?
Don't leave the unit connected to the vehicle when plugging in the flash-link. Aside from that, you do not have to disconnect the battery. Just unplug the connectors, power last (6-pin connector). When reconnecting, aways connect power first.
So i enabled option 14 mode 2 and I still wasnt getting any feedback from the shock sensor, I even tried enabling the alarm on the bypass side in the "unit options". I clicked on Evo alarm enable and selected g1.1 - horn. The funny thing is now its reading the shock sensor except the alarm only activates the lights. When the shock sensor gets bumped the dash lights and parking lights blink on and off as if the alarm is going off but it doesnt make any sound, however, if I open the door while the alarm is active it does activate the full alarm system. What am i doing wrong ?

Also, i have my system set up so that the first lock/unlock on the fob is silent and the 2nd click supposed to give a honk confirmation but Im not getting that confirmation. When I press it once my truck does beep however but there is no honk. Im not sure if this is a related issue of not setting off my horn with the alarm.
