'08 Altima EVO-ALL, TNIS1, Compustar CM7200S no start initiation

0 votes
Axxess branded bypass AX-ALL with AX-TIS1 harness and CM7200S remote starter.  Bypass programmed correctly and door locks work with aftermarket fobs.  I can't get the remote start to initiate start sequence.  I assume that it is a setting in the options but I think I've tried about everything.  The AX-ALL lights red and yellow light up, and the RS brain clicks through all three start attempts.  No brake lights, no dash lights.

This is only 2nd time using Fortin.

Is tech support open Saturdays?

Yes tech support is opened right now.

Have you connect the white/black wire to the start button has guide shows ?

Yes, all connections were made except trunk release.

I even rolled back the firmware and tried all options in the GPS/IO settings.

The 7200 has two data ports and I tried both.

Is the RF section for stand alone only?  It fades out when GPS/IO is selected.

Would W2W have fixed my problem?  I returned the car to the customer  until I got more info.

turn gps/io OFF, that is not for remote start use.

RF section is only for stand alone.

If using datalink, set option F2 to ON and set the 7200 to ADS protocol.

First problem, your brake lights are not turning on. Try using the other RED connector that plugs into the EVO. RL1 or RL2. The brake lights should be turning on the second ground when running is present. Quick test is just to ground the GwR manually, if you do not see brakes turning on, try the other RED connector at the EVO (RL1 or RL2 whichever it is, at home atm and don't have guide with me).

Tried all this, still no brake lights, no start.  The only response I get is door locks.
Here's any easy test, activate D1 (and turn off B2), then try starting the vehicle by grounding the yellow/black wire on the EVO. Get teh vehicle working as a stand alone remote starter first, work from there. B2 must be turned off for this, we only ask it be turned on when using a starter in datalink.
I'll have to get the car back in for this.

Should I try a different starter?  What brand works the best with Fortin?

All starters are techinically compatible. If it's a datalink problem, there is always the wire-to-wire configuration available. Compustar is perfectly good to use with the EVO.

This vehicle though (as long it's automatic transmission), you technically only need an RF-KIT with the EVO and not a full remote start brain. EVO would be set to stand alone starter in this setup. The RF-Kit plugs straight into the datalink port.

I thought the stand alone was only  for 09 and newer?

The install guide doesn't show a "C" install method for stand alone like some of  the other install guides I was looking at.  I did verify that the door locks work while running on the OEM fobs.

One thing to note, when I programmed the EVO I had both keys in the car.

the EVO can be used as a stand alone starter but not as as 3x lock starter. We'd rather not put it on the website since people would be trying to do 3xlock start.

The standalone guide is a completely different guide. Connections are pretty much the exact same thing. All you would to do is turn on option D1 instead of B2. This is the guide : STANDALONE_EVO-ALL & THAR-NIS1 (t-harness) Nissan/Infiniti with Keyport - Revision 20141015

As for the programming, havce only 1 key in the car. It also says to to have the key in the keyport before starting the programming (before step 1).

I reflashed the module and reprogrammed the key.  It now works as a stand alone, I set it for lock, unlock, lock because otherwise it would start when I pushed the lock once.  I turned off B2 (data link remote starter) and turned on C1 (OE remote monitoring), D1 (OEM remote standalone remote starter) , and Supported RF Kits (FT-D100) , I flipped the white and blue wires at the data link plug and programmed two four button Arctic Start fobs.  The AX-ALL blinked when I pushed the lock buttons and blinked twice when I turned off the ignition, 2 fobs stored?  Problem is the fobs don't work?

After I had all this typed in, I noticed the one install guide had the red and black wires cut at the data link and plugged into the RF kit two pin plug.  I pulled the pins out to test, and wires touched and blew a 10a fuse in the car (BAT 10a, ELEC PARTS). But I think I killed the AX-ALL. UGH!  Fortunately I didn't hurt the car.
