Why do I need a standalone remote start with Camry Hybrid using EVO-ALL?

0 votes
On the product selection page, Fortin shows that all I need to remote start a 2009 Camry Hybrid is the EVO-ALL.

In the installation/wiring instructions, it has asterisks after the Hybrid model, with an indication that I need a separate stand-alone hybrid-compatible remote start kit.  What gives?  Anybody know which is correct?

If you want to do a stand alone isntallation (3x Lock Start), you need to follow the stand alone installation guide.
