prostart remote,fortin set in programming.

goes through the motions, ign powers up,passlock lights and goes out,but wont crank.

if i start with key, shut off and hit remote,it will remote start immediately without issue.wait one minute and it wont crank engine.

i'm baffled..frustrating for something thats supposed to simplify things.

am i missing a programming setting? perhaps a wire needs connected?

leave your prostart in d2d datalink and enable d2d in EVOALL options using flashlink updater.

I think thats what i ended up doing, but after i reset and re-programmed. Also had to connect red/blue start wire, and ground while running. Retested each and only worked in this manner. I have to say, install manual is vague in this respect.  Things need be defined more clearly. Programming as well. I searched tirelessly and found zero results. I have been installing remote starters since the 80's and quit about 5 years ago.never expected this

Thanks for your suggestion, had i not figured it out- it would have got me on the right track

Just wanted to add a little something. You will want to connect the ground-while-running and start input (if needed to the EVO) when using any Autostart/Prostart.

if i start with key, shut off and hit remote,it will remote start immediately without issue.wait one minute and it wont crank engine.

This means the EVO was not being turned on properly. Any GM, after starting the vehicle and shutting it down, there is a delay in which you can start the car/truck without having to bypass the  Passkey/Passlock.

The install guides can't be pointing that on X car  someone should be doing this and that if using this or that remote starter you will want to do X and Y but not if Z is present. It's too much.
