Programing options for evo all with crimestopper RS7-G4, 2013 Honda Ridgeline

I just connected my system but I having some issues, When I try to use the aftermarket remote it wont start, all the lights and everything comes on like if its going to work but nothing happens, when I use the OEM remote 3xxx it does start but it will cut off after a few seconds, the programing light on the remote starter flashes two times which is the hood pin switch, I connected a hood pin directly to the remote starter and disconnected the hood status of the module but it does the same, still same two flashes, can you please tell me the exact programing options for the evo all that I need to have,  also I noticed that my truck has two accesory feeds which I did not get from wirecolor.com, I looked other websites and they all show the second accesory wire, Do i need to have that connected also. Please help, Thank you.

Hi again, Thanks for the answer and support, I am still having problems, I have the module set up to F1 fortin and the 3xxx locks and all the options on the top part and all of the connections from the crimestopper to module and the truck like it says on the instructions and still not working, when I use the 3xxx OEM remote the system starts but it only last like ten seconds then the light on the module turns orange then stops the engine, when I use the crimestopper remote the lights on the crimestopper and the module only flash one time and that is all it does, then after it tries the crimestopper light flashes two times in secuence. Then if I run the truck with the key the orange light on the module will stay on. Thank you.

ok, I just made some changes on the module settings with the link updater  I unckecked the the option for the hood status, disconnected the hood wire and the tach wire from the module and the crimestopper, set the crimestopper to tachless, connected hood pin, and it is working with the crimestopper remote now, but it is not doing anything with the oem remote, I wish there was some installation instructions with more details with the crimestopper and the module, so I can undertand better. You said that if I want to use the oem remote I have to connect the GREEN crimestopper wire to the lock wire  on the truck, is that the only wire I need to connect? I know I have to program the crimestopper for the 3xxx start, once again thank you very much for your help.

I forgot, for the master reset is the datalink connector has to be connected to a computer?

Sevice number of the EVO please.

I am curious too know what options and what is connected so that you can start the vehicle with the OEM remote with the Crimestopper.

Here's so pointers in the meanwhile.

  • As for starting; on the EVO-ALL when activating the starter, you need to see the RED LED turn on. This indicates the remote starter is turning on the EVO-ALL.
  • If the vehicle actually starts and runs a few seconds then dies off, either something is not powered right or the remote starter is not detecting tach properly
  • the 2nd accessory on Honda is mostly to power accessories such as the Radio.

Looking at your unit, the options make no sense. https://fortin.ca/en/support/001a06366694/

Master reset the EVO using this procedure and then reprogram the EVO to the vehicle. Do not touch any options afterwards and get the system working by using the Crimestopper remote before even trying to get it started with the factory remote.

Master reset (unit disconnected) :

  • Hold down programming button while plugging in the datalink connector.
  • Let go of button when LED is RED.
  • Push and hold button again until all three LEDs start to alternate.
  • Disconnect unit, she is now reset.

Once you get the Crimestopper working with it's own remotes, you can start testing with the factory remote. Keep note that, The EVO has nothing to do with starting the vehicle with the OEM remote on this vehicle. The remote starter trigger for this needs to be connected to the vehicles LOCK wire directly and programmed accordingly in the remote starter options. For more information, you will need to contact Crimestopper.

As for the Crimestopper, yes, you need to connect their Green wire to the vehicles lock signal. You may want to check with Crimestopper or maybe see forums such as http://www.the12volt.com
