evo does not detect can bus. what next?

Rookie installing EVO ALL and remote starter/ alarm on a 2012 nissan versa. While programing the imobilizer i only got to step 4 (the blue light never comes on) Trouble shooting says that the imobilizer does not detect the can- bus. What is the next step?

Hi Ivan,

 

Test your Can-Hi and Can-Lo wires directly at the EVO. You should see about 2.5 Vdc on each when ignition is on.

Chances are they are either reversed or one of them is not connected properly.

 

  • Vehicle CAN-Hi = Blue
  • Vehicle CAN-LO = Pink
