I have a 2014 Chevy Cruze.  I bought the EVO-All with the Harness. Installed as Stand Alone. think programming went well. Car will not start. I only wired up the brown wire to OBD connector.

Am I missing something?

Hi Gabriel,

I only wired up the brown wire to OBD connector.

That's all thats really required for remote starting. I might recommend connecting parking lights since some cities require that lights be on when a vehicle is running. Also, I would strongly recommend installing the hood pin or valet switch (regulare on/off switch), this is for the security of anyone working on the engine in case the vehicle is accidentally started.

Stand Alone is an option in the EVO that needs to be turned on. From factory the EVO-ALL is not programmed to be a stand alone remote starter and the option in question needs to be turned on. This needs to be turned on using the Flash-Link Manager.

Easy ways to know if the stand alone remote starter option is activated:

  • If you ground the dark blue wire of the EVO-ALL and the RED LED on the EVO-ALL turns on, then this means that the stand alone remote starter option is not turned on.
  • If you ground the yellow/black wire of the EVO for 1 second and the trunk opens (if electric) then the EVO-ALL is not set to Stand Alone. If the stand alone option is on, the car would attempt to start when grounding this wire.
  • Entering the service number here will tell you all the current details of the EVO-ALL, and also tell you which options are on. Currently, your service number says nothing about any options being turned on. http://ifar.ca/en/products/001a06294619/
