Doors left open after remote start with EVO ONE

0 votes
I had EVO ONE working fine with the factory key fob then I added Fortin RFK942. I have 2 issues now.

First, the factory key fob does not work anymore.

Second, I remote start the car using RFK942 and the doors were left open after the car remote-started. Even, when I lock the doors using RFK942 it automatically opens them. The issue keeps going until the car takes over and is ready to drive.

The car is Camry 2022 standard key (not push to start). Used Thar-ONE-TOY14 harness.

I highly appreciate it if someone can help me with this problem.

Hello,

sounds like the harness is either not clipped in fully or a pin is bent/broken.

The door lock data wire is part of the 21-pin black connector. If i were to check this, I would go over that connector first ensuring that all pins are ok and that the plugs are fully seated and clipped in.

Also, make sure option 32.3 is enabled. Otherwise doors will not relock when remote started since the car will think the door is always open.

Thank you very much for your response. I checked the port and it does not have any broken or bent pins on both sides (The Harness and Module). The harness wires are in good shape as well.

Is there any way that I can check on the firmware to see option 32.3 status without a flash link updater module?
What is the 12 digit service number of the module?
It is 002B04294020.
The unit looks properly setup.

If a reset was done at some point, I wouldnt see the changes until the module was reconnected to the flash link updater.

If it was indeed reset, that means the unit options were set back default. This would explain your issue with the doors staying unlocked while remote started since option 32.3 would not be enabled anymore.
Reseting it would also explain why it doesnt work with the oem remote anymore...
With that said, having the 942 remotes means you can change those options manually.

Page 3 and 4 shows the options table and how to enter function programming and how to change unit options. You need to enable opiont 32-3 and 38-2

Thank you very much for your help. Appreciate that.
