Evo-one with T-Harness will I need to install 6 pin power connector

0 votes
Hey all, I have a 2016 Audi A3 8V Push to Start. & before I begin my installation here. I am following the given guide for the no key required Evo-one and T-Harness (thar-vw1) & was wondering if I also need to install the 6 pin power connector that came with my Evo-one. As the guide I am following doesn't specify for my vehicle. Thanks!

you do not need the high current plug, use the small black instead.

So I'm gonna try be as thorough as possible as I now have another problem

I followed GUIDE # 82551

and have successfully installed my system. Before I began programming I updated the firmware on the Evo-one. As my first time around it never got through step 10. Now i managed to sucessfully complete the programming process, Dcryptor was sucessful. Everything checked out but to my surprise I couldn't get it to remote start. Nor do I see any lights come off of the module or on the dash. The sequence I've set in Flashlink is LOCK 3x And even Lock,Unlock,& Lock.. Still nothing both ways.

My car starts up just fine no problems there. I double and even triple checked all of my wiring. I backtracked and searched all over the internet. And it seems I can't figure what is wrong. I've spent the entirety of the day troubleshooting and now have nothing left but a mess. I don't know what is wrong and I even double checked settings on the Flashlink manager. Even tried resetting my settings. Set all options as per what the guide suggests and nothing. I can not get it to start whatsoever. The only wires I didn't use in the guide were the hood pin(Pink/Black) & ignition output(Purple/Yellow). I disabled the hood pin output as well. Still nothing. Do I need to plug in the Valet switch?

I have also tried to go over programming again but I now can't even get past step 1 the Blue LED will just disappear now. One thing I haven't tried is resetting the Evo-one but I couldn't reset it using the Valet swtich. Thanks
