EVO-ALL & THAR-FOR1 with RS unlock wire?

0 votes
I haven't installed this yet, but will be later today.

When using the EVO-ALL and the THAR-FOR1 t-harness, why do you have the remote start unlock wire hooked up to the door unlock wire, but the EVO-ALL lock wire hooked to the door lock wire?

Thanks!

Hi Justin, the lock gets controlled by the EVO-ALL, the unlock does not. It also controls how the factory alarm gets turned on(armed)

So, the EVO-ALL controls the disarm through data, but but does not control the unlock?
To disarm most Ford vehicles the only way to do it is by activating ignition and transponder at the same time. The vehicle disarms itself when it see's those 2 things. (Sometimes accessory is also required along with ignition.) This is all controlled by the EVO.

The only way to properly arm the vehicle is by making sure it is disarmed first, since to actually arm it, the door trigger needs to be Opened. This is why you see the lock connection from the EVO to car. The EVO when receiving the lock command, will do a disarm sequence first then it will do the arm sequence and lock the doors.

Anyways, all this is controlled by the EVO. Follow the plan with the latest firmware and all work 100%.
