Why the wiring change in installation guides ?

0 votes
Installed an evo one in a 2016 Tucson standard key using a T-harness and using guide # 60671, Rev 20160613 the guide available at the time of installation. The newest revision of that guide Rev 20190226 clearly shows the white wire going to the 6 pin main connector on the evo-one coming from the T-harness is now cut off or disconnected and was shown connected in the older instructions. Why is this wire now shown as disconnected and must this wiring change be fixed before I update the hardware/firmware version if needed ?

It will not change anything with or without that connection. Even if you wanted to cut the wire, you dont need to update the module or change any firmware version. It only prevents the 2nd accessory from being powered up which on some vehicles allows the oem remote to remain functional when the car is remote started.

Basically, if the unit is already installed and functioning, leave it as is.
