Worked, then stopped after 4th time with lights on Evo alternatively blinking.

Working good and then would not start; after 4 or 5 times. Looked at Evo module and the lights were blinking alternatively. Reprogramed and worked again for now. I might have pressed the lock button three Xs to fast, or do not have parking light wire hooked up yet, don't want it if i don't need.

alternately blink typically indicates the module was never actually programmed.

Robb, why would it work if was never programmed and then stop after awhile. How long should you turn ignition on for when programming the blue led flash before you turn off. I also hit the 3x lock button fast when it happened. ( The truck did start the first 4 or 5 times ) I talked with somebody at Fortin and he said the programming button might have been pressed down during install, but there was no power shut off of the battery, so i don't know what happened. He also suggested a re-flash to the 74.32 update. I'll check into it, what do you think? It is working for now. Thanks, Craig.
You can turn ignition off once the blue led starts to flash. Once ignition is off, press the lock button on the oem remote.

If the button is consistently pressed down, as per recommendation from other post, and the 4-pin is loose, the module will reset. That's two things to check right there. I have a feeling Mathieu from your post was dead on with that.

Could be worth it to test it a few times without the module attached to anything. See if it behaves the same way.

This install with the chr4 has been for over 10 years. Old or new firmwares will work flawleslly on these cars.
Thank you Rob for your help with this. It is working like a champ!
