effect of ground while running wire while using D2D on evo-all

Is the Ground While Running wire on the Evo-All bypass actually used when connected D2D with a crimestopper RS4-G4 remote start even if it is in all the install drawings? I went to install an antigrind relay on an existing installation and found out that for some reason the remote starter will not ground out when running, and after testing having this wire connected or not does not change anything to the operation of the complete system. is this normal? because it is getting the same info through the Data? is there any other place I could go and pick up a ground whille running signal?

GWR connection is not mandatory in most installation however it is a security in case something goes wrong on datalink which is fairly common with some remote starters. If its in the guide, you should connect it.
