2014 Mazda 6 Push Button Manual Transmission

Viper 4806 Set to Manual Transmission

Evo-All Updated Newset Software as of Sept 2014

W2W installation, Guide #4161

The bypass programs fine, Ar-35 is in place.  Car is locked and ready to by remote started.

I remote start the car, unlock using Viper Remotes.  Mazda Fobs are inoperatable when car is running.  Get in press on the foot brake.  At that moment car shuts down.  I've tried various other things to prevent the car from shutting down but nothing seemed to work. Keep in mind I have removed battery from factory fob to be placed in the dash attached to ar-35.  And I have 2nd Mazda fob on my persons during the take over process. Everything listed below results in vehicle shutdown

-Releasing handbrake

-Pressing Push start button

-Pressing Footbrake

I just cannot get the car to take over the starting without is shutting down first.  As stated in guide, it shouldn't shut down.  I followed all the parameters for a successful take over but can not get it to work.

Hi Dan,

if the module was not detecting unlock, the vehicle would shut down as soon as you open a door. The EVo would send a brake pulse to the remote starter if this was the case so that the vehicle could shut down. This means you can rule out that the EVO is not detecting unlock.

from what was seen in the past and a few things you may want to try:

  • if using datalink, make sure that option F3 - D2D is enabled in the EVO and that the appropriate datalink option is set in the Viper.
  • Also set the D6 - Push-to-Start option in the EVO. We added this option not too long and you may need to update the firmware on the EVO to have access to this option.
  • If the viper foot brake input is wired to the car, remove that connection.

Note that you should not have to press on the vehicles PTS button at all. The EVO will press on it for take over.

I know that the unlock detection is working. Both lock and unlock from viper is wired to evo.Pur and Pur/White

I've hardwired the Evo to the viper, so datalink isn't an issue.

Brake wire is connected to Evo's Black wire.

Evo is up to date with latest firmware.  I have access to FlashLink and just flashed the mobule this past Saturday Sept. 20th

Option D6 is set ON PTS
